April 1 - Dierdre, Latoya, River

Day Ninety-two.

You are legit not going to believe what has happened to me today. I am over the moon excited about what God is doing!

Ok, ok. So I recently found out that I had a huge discount that was about to expire for The Children's Place. I went to the mall to get my oldest daughter some new clothes. We finished shopping and we were standing in line behind a mother, daughter and they were with another woman. I noticed they had a huge pile of clothes and they were asking about the discount that I was about to use. They hadn't qualified for it so they ended up paying full price.

While I was standing there, I prayed for the cashier and asked God to give me a word of knowledge for her or some kind of insight into what I could pray for. The ladies in front of me finished with their purchase and I moved forward with mine. The cashier's name was Dierdre and she was more than happy to let me pray. She had pain in her shoulder and I put my hand on it and asked the Holy Spirit to heal it. When we finished praying I asked if she noticed any difference. She said she didn't notice a difference and I suggested that I could pray again.

Before I prayed a second time, the mom and daughter from the previous purchase came back and stood behind me in line. She had seen a cute shirt on her way out of the store and wanted to buy it. The Lord reminded me that she had to pay full price when she was checking out and I had this amazing coupon so I felt Him ask me to pay for the shirt. I turned to the woman and asked her if I could pay for her shirt. She said "You don't have to ask me twice." and put the shirt on the counter.

THEN SHE SAID

"You can go ahead and pray for me too."

YES JESUS!!!!

I immediately turned around and said "Yes! I would love to pray for you. What do you need prayer for?" Her name was Latoya. She explained that she had recently gone through a divorce and it's been very difficult. Her ex now wants to reconcile but she is already in another relationship. I stopped for a minute because I wasn't sure where the Lord wanted me to go with this. haha! So we talked for a minute about how much God loves her and wants the best for her, even if she doesn't think it is the best thing for herself. His ways are always higher than our ways and saying yes to Him is saying yes to victory over your life.

So I asked permission to pray that God would shut the wrong relationship down immediately and show her which path to take... even if it wasn't what she wanted. I asked if she could trust God with her future. She said she could. So we prayed and gave him permission to take control of the situation.

ok.ok. So then I turned back to Dierdre the cashier and asked how her shoulder was feeling and she said IT FELT BETTER!!! She said she believed that Jesus was healing her right there!!!

So obviously I was super excited when I left. The fact that this lady just heard me praying for the cashier and actually asked me to pray for her too was so big. I went home and called my friends and told them what happened. So fun!! But the day wasn't over!!

Later in the day, my cousin sent me a facebook message and actually asked me to pray for her friend's daughter, River! I wasn't able to call the friend in the hospital. But, I prayed with my cousin over the phone and then I was able to call the friend's children and we all prayed together for River. I'm hoping to hear back soon that she has been completely healed.

I'm just so excited that two people actually asked me to pray because of the journey that God has put me on. I'm so grateful that He keeps his promises and He is faithful to walk with me through my fear of stepping out. I cannot even WAIT to see what happens tomorrow!!!
