September 1 - Tracy

Writer's picture: Summer SlovakSummer Slovak

Today I prayed for a woman named Tracy. She was standing in the check out line in front of me and when I asked if I could pray for her she immediately agreed. But, when I asked what I could pray for, she closed up. She said she didn't have anything that she needed prayer for and everything in her life was blessed. I tried giving her a little help by suggesting things that I could pray for. Health? Finances? She was in line with her husband so I nodded to him and said "marriage?" But, no matter what I said, she couldn't think of anything she needed prayer for. So, I settled on just praying for her "in general" and hoped that the Lord would give me a word for her while I was praying.

We held hands and as soon as our hands touched she said "OH! I know what you can pray for. We have a huge issue going on in court right now. It would be great if it would all get figured out without us having to show up for a single thing." So we prayed.

Knowing that the Lord loves justice and loves winning battles for his children, I just prayed that he would do what he loves. I asked that justice would win not only in the court room but in Tracy's home, in her work, and in her marriage. I asked God to set right everything that the enemy had tried to destroy. When we were finished praying Tracy assured me that was exactly what she needed prayer for.
