April 27 - Jennifer

Day One Hundred & Seventeen.

Today, I attended an event for churches in the Jackson, Mississippi area all came together for a night of worship. It was really powerful. While there, I stopped by a concession stand and stood in line for a long time just to find out they wouldn't take a debit card.

It wasn't a total waste, while standing in line I met a woman named Jennifer and I was able to pray for her. She is a teacher in the Jackson Public School System and if you know anything about this time of year, it's super stressful for all teachers. Even more so for those with low funding and low parental involvement.

We stood in line at the concession and prayed for her to have the endurance to make it to the end of the semester. For her students to be able to retain and recall all of the information she has given them this year. And for the spirit of division and anxiety to leave her classroom in Jesus name.

We made a good connection, it turns out she goes to the church across the street from mine.
