April 29 - Francis & Saphira

Writer's picture: Summer SlovakSummer Slovak

Day One Hundred & Nineteen.

I met Francis at the gas station. He was the cashier and we were alone in the store so I asked if I could pray. He was having pain in his joints so we prayed over it and the pain got better. As soon as he realized he felt better he asked what denomination I'm praying from so I just told him "It's just Jesus." Just the another customer walked in and I stepped aside. When I asked to pray again to see if we could get the pain to leave completely he said he had to get back to his customers so I left.

Later, I met a woman name Saphira in line at the store. She had her son with her and mentioned something about swelling in her knees so I asked to pray for her. We prayed and when I asked if her knees felt better she was genuinely shocked that I expected them to be better right away. haha! She said "I don't know" and we moved forward in the line so it was difficult to continue the conversation.

I'm going to have to get better at catching people when they have a few minutes to talk after we pray so that they can't run away!
