April 4 - Rebecca

Day Ninety-Five.

Today I prayed for the woman who checked me out in the tire section of WalMart. Her name was Rebecca and she had a lot going on. When I asked what I could pray for she said "Well, my husband is about to have back surgery, my son is leaving for the Marines this week, and my other son is disabled." Wow. That's a lot. I could just hear the pressure on her shoulders in her voice.

So we prayed for that weight to be lifted and for God to take care of everything for her. We talked for a minute about how He wanted to lift her burdens how she could trust him to provide for her and for her family. Another customer came while we were talking and she immediately stopped the conversation to attend to him. I tried to hang around for a while so that we could talk some more but she left for some kind of managers meeting soon after that.

Please join me in praying that my words along with the presence of the Holy Spirit had an impact.
