April 7 - Christina

Day Ninety-eight.

Today I approached Christina in the dairy section at Kroger. When I asked her what she needed prayer for she said she had some health stuff going on. I asked for details and she shared that she had recently been diagnosed with bi-polar disorder and that her family had a long history of suffering from what she now believes may have been the same thing that she is now experiencing.

After talking for a moment I noticed that she had a catholic cross around her neck. I took that to mean that I could speak freely about the teachings of Jesus without turning her off. We talked about generational curses and how the Holy Spirit gives power to break those through Jesus' name.

So we prayed. I thanked God for revealing this diagnosis and for giving Christina the courage to fight it with Him. I prayed for healing in Jesus name. And I spoke to the Enemy who has tried to destroy her entire lineage with mental illness and told it to leave her in Jesus name.

Let me be clear about this. I still believe that Christina should seek help from a medical professional. I still think she should seek treatment for her disorder. However, if Satan is the cause of this, I also believe that it can be miraculously healed by the power of the Holy Spirit.
