August 5 - Melissa

ree

Day Two Hundred & Sixteen.

Today I went inside the bank and had to stand in line to talk with a teller face to face. Very rare for me to do this because I usually go through the drive through. My teller's name was Melissa and while she was working on my account, I was praying about what the Lord was saying about her. One word kept coming to mind and it was "honor."

When she finished what I had asked her to do I told her that I'd set a goal to pray for one stranger every day and I felt the Lord had asked me to pray for her. I told her that I felt like He was putting on my heart to tell her that she deserved so much honor for the kind of woman that she is and for the way that she has raised her children. She started crying and said "I'm not sure I agree with you but, I'm happy to let you pray for me." Her son is heading back to college after his summer break and she is all in her feelings about seeing him off for the school year.

We prayed for protection and guidance for her son, for financial blessings and the ability to steward her money well, and asked God to comfort her heart in this season of letting go. It was a really sweet moment.
