Something amazing happened today! I was at Walmart with my friend Rachel. A young woman was organizing bananas on the display and I asked her if I could pray. She said "Oh my gosh, yes! Thank you. I really need prayer. My relationship with God hasn't been as close as it should be." I asked her name and I asked what she needed prayer for. She told me that a year ago she was in a shooting accident and she was pregnant. The bullet killed her baby.
I was so heartbroken. I reassured her that God was not ever going to be upset about her drifting from Him and that he would always be waiting to hear from her. I prayed for healing and for the Father's love to surround her in her grief.
When I was done praying, she asked which church we go to. I told her where we go to church and she said "Oh! I know where that is. Do you know Annell?" (Annell is one of the pastor's on our staff) Apparently, Annell came to the hospital when Briana was shot and prayed with her and her family that day.
HERE'S THE CRAZIEST PART!!! Last year when Annell prayed for Briana, she came to church and told us all about the story. Last year when Briana was in the hospital, I was at church praying for her!!!! I was able to tell Briana that I prayed for her last year when she was injured. It was totally a full circle moment and so touching. I feel certain that my writing just isn't doing it justice because for me, it was absolutely mind blowing.
