February 14 - Keanna

Day forty-five.

This morning I had to run to the gas station because I was six pieces of candy short for my kid's to have enough Valentine stuff for their classes. (insert exaggerated eye roll here) Six pieces short? I know these three little savages at those six pieces. Whatever.

When I walked into the Shell station I saw Tammie who I prayed for a few weeks ago. She asked me to pray for her weight loss journey and when I saw her I couldn't stop myself from commenting on how good she looked. Just a few weeks (Maybe only one, I can't remember) and she already looked great! When I mentioned how good she looked she remembered me and said "You blessed us so much that day that you prayed for us. It changed our whole night." SO AWESOME!!

This evening I had to stop for gas at a different gas station and I approached the cashier to see if she'd let me pray. Her name was Keanna and she asked for prayer over her entire life. "Kids, finances, health, emotional stuff... just everything." So I prayed.

When I finished, she said "You know what's weird is you are like the fourth or fifth person to come in here and pray for me." I said "WHAT?!?!?! KEANNA!!! God is trying to reach you girl. You can't ignore this. If this is true then God has sent complete strangers to tell you how much he loves you and wants a relationship with you." We talked a little longer and I couldn't quite get her to a point where she was ready to make a decision to follow Christ. But, I really feel like this was the closest I've come so far. It was a big step for me to continue talking after I had finished 'praying for my daily stranger.' I'm going to try and check back in to see if we can keep talking about it!

Y'all pray!!
