February 20 - Felicia

Writer's picture: Summer SlovakSummer Slovak

Day fifty-one.

I met Felicia in the shampoo isle at WalMart. When I asked if I could pray she readily agreed and said she needed prayer for her job. I asked for more details and she said she's caring for two of her aging parents. She and her husband are deciding if she should quit her job and focus on their care or not.

I had my oldest daughter with me and she busied herself nearby while we prayed. (Hoping to start getting my kids to join in but we aren't quite there yet.)

I prayed that the Lord would bless her with a replacement income to give her the ability to quit her job and take care of her parents. I blessed the daughter's heart in her that longed to look after them while they're nearing the end of their life on earth. I asked God to give her the courage to say everything she needed to say to them & make the moves she needed to make in this situation.
