I prayed for two people today to make up for missing yesterday's stranger. I met Satory at the Kroger bakery. I had to order some cupcakes for my kid's school and he works behind the counter. When we had a moment I asked if I could pray for him and he happily agreed. He is a student and asked me to just pray over his entire life. He needed a new job, help with school, "just everything" he said.
We held hands over the bakery counter and I asked for everything he mentioned. I prayed against exhaustion and against any assignment the enemy had over his life. He prayed with me. So good. So sweet. When we were finished praying I could see such a weight lifted off of him. He thanked me and I said "This wasn't me. God loves you so much and he loves hearing from you. Keep talking to him." and he agreed.
After Satory I walked through Kroger looking for my next assignment. I ran into two beautiful blonde women in the salad dressing isle and asked them if I could pray. I could tell when they turned around that they were mother and daughter. They had a little boy with them and the mother asked him to join us for prayer. Nicole, the daughter has recently completed 60 days of sobriety. She was tearing up as we were talking.
I told her that I felt God had sent me straight to her to pray over her. That he was so proud of what she was doing and even though He knows how hard it is, He is with her every step of the way. I prayed for strength and endurance. I asked Him to draw near to her and call her name every day so loud that she couldn't help but hear it. I spoke against the spirit of addiction and temptation. I asked God to stand angels around her home and to fill it with His Holy Spirit so that she could feel the presence of God there.
When we finished praying her little boy yelled out "THANK YOU FOR PRAYING FOR US!!"
