February 28 - Carla

Day fifty-nine.

I had to go to Kroger to check on my cupcake order from the other day and when I first walked in I saw a woman in bright green scrubs. I noticed her immediately and thought about asking her to pray but I just kept walking. After I checked on the cupcakes I bought a rotisserie chicken and got in line. I ended up being right behind the lady in the green scrubs so I asked her if I could pray.

She agreed but said she didn't have anything specific to pray for. Feeling a little discouraged by another unenthusiastic stranger I went ahead and prayed for her, covering all the bases. I asked the Holy Spirit to come, prayed over her health, her finances, her family, and spoke against the enemy. When I finished she paid for her groceries and left.

The cool part is that when I walked out to my car she was parked right next to me! I just felt like it was God's way of saying "Hey, I chose her. That wasn't an accident." I am honestly not very good at recognizing the Father's voice. I'm getting better but I genuinely feel like my first impression of her as I walked into the store was the Holy Spirit and not just my inner voice.

Lord make me a better listener.
