January 29 & 30 - Sametria & Tammie

Writer's picture: Summer SlovakSummer Slovak

Day twenty-nine and thirty.

Full confession, I missed praying for someone yesterday. It was an extremely hard day for me. By the time I got to 8:00 and putting the kids in bed I was just completely finished keeping it together. I still could have gotten out and prayed for someone but, I didn't. I promised myself to get two people today and God did not disappoint!!

I went to get gas hoping that I could pray for someone who pulled up at the pump. I've prayed for a cashier at this gas station before so I figured I could wait for a person pumping gas instead. No surprise, God had something else in mind. There were NO cars pumping gas while I was there. I went inside to pay for my gas and there were two cashiers. I paid, went outside to start pumping and when I pulled the handle the numbers started rolling AS SLOW AS POSSIBLE!! It was the slowest gas I've ever seen!! So, I figured "Ok Jesus, I hear you." and I went back inside to pray for one of the cashiers.

When I explained what I was doing, both women wanted me to pray for them!! Look at Jesus hitting my quota!

Sametria asked me to pray for her job. I don't know if she wanted a new job or just for things at the gas station to get better. We held hands and I prayed for a new job, a promotion, a raise, and holy favor over her life.

Tammie has recently started a weight loss journey and it's growing more and more difficult. We held hands and as soon as we did I felt the Holy Spirit move. My whole body got hot and both women began to agree with me in Jesus name. It was so powerful!!! I asked for God to create healthy habits in Tammie's mind to help her combat the eating habits. I spoke against addiction over food in Jesus name. I asked God to fill up her body as his temple and fight for her in those moments of weakness.

When I finished I told her "God sees you. He thinks you are so beautiful right now, as you are. He is so proud of you doing something to better yourself."

Anyway, I didn't have to go find a second person because Sametria and Tammie were in the same place. So cool!! The word of the night was "FAVOR." I just felt like God wanted them to know how precious they are to him and he would show that by pouring out favor on their lives. Whew!! So good!!
