In the store with all three kids. Two of them have tooth fairy money that they want to spend on sleep masks with funny sayings. #Priorities We get to the counter to pay for everything and I realize I'm going home after this and I haven't prayed for someone today. I ask the cashier if she'd let me pray for her.
Lesson Learned: I don't really think she wanted me to pray for her so I feel like I should give people permission to say "no thank you." Should I? I could say "You can totally say no but, I set a goal to pray for one person each day. Can I pray for you?" This is the deeeeeeep south and I'm just not sure anyone in this entire state has ever said "no" to prayer. Question is... do I want her to say no to prayer? ooo, dilemma.
But I digress... The kids were touching everything so I had to make it a quick prayer. I also did not pray for the woman who was leaving the store in a wheelchair so, that felt like a missed opportunity. As we were leaving my middle child yells "YOU PRAYED FOR SOMEONE MOMMY! THAT'S GREAT!" So, at the very least maybe I set an example for my sweet girl.
