July 14 - Renee

Day One Hundred & Ninety Four.

Back in May I met a woman in the Kroger parking lot named Renee. She and I prayed over her son who has struggled for years with addiction. She invited me to come see her at work and I finally did. Actually, I just happened to be at the Dollar General and she was the cashier so I reminded her about us praying at Kroger. She remembered.

She told me that she finally got up the courage to talk with her son about his childhood and gave him the freedom to come to her with anything that she had done to hurt him or lead him into this lifestyle. For the first time in his life, he actually sat down with her and talked about some of his real struggles. She said she could see a real difference since we had prayed for him. He is even seeing a therapist. So awesome!!

We prayed again today for her son, Damon and for his therapist to be able to bring truth and light to the places that need healing in his heart. I prayed over Renee and blessed her for being brave enough to step into those past hurts with her son even knowing it may be painful to revisit that stuff.

It was pretty awesome to hear that God had used one encounter with a total stranger to make a difference for Renee and her son. So exciting!!
