July 20 - Hilda

DAY TWO HUNDRED!!!!

It seems only fitting that today's milestone would be marked with a wonderful encounter. Hilda and I met and she immediately agreed to let me pray. Even before I could ask what to pray for she was so excited to tell me about what God was doing in her life. Her grandaughter and 3 year old great granddaughter live with her. They've just moved in after selling the grandaughter's house. Well, apparently the 3 year old's paternal grandmother has been trying to get custody of the child because her mother is living with a relative instead of on her own. It's been a long legal battle with lots of false accusations. The child was taken away from the mother for two weeks and they were all just heartbroken.

So they had just been to court today and the 3 year old little girl was returned to her mother. The judge and the social worker were unable to find any reason to keep them apart any longer. Hilda was overjoyed to tell me about it because her family was back together. There were tears in her eyes as she told the story.

So we prayed right then and thanked God for his protection over Hilda's legacy and for the continued favor that he pours out on her and every generation of her family. Hilda is a sunday school teacher at a local church so I prayed over her leadership in that area. It ended up being a great encounter and both Hilda and I left rejoicing in God's faithfulness.
