July 31 - Jackie & Anna

Writer's picture: Summer SlovakSummer Slovak

Day Two Hundred & Eleven.

As I was walking back to my car on a quick run to get batteries I noticed two women who were about my same age putting groceries into their trunk. I stopped to say hello and asked if I could pray for them. One of the women, Jackie, asked if I would pray for her starting back to school and the other woman, Anna, asked if I could pray over her job situation because she hates going to work. I started with Anna who was wearing scrubs. I asked specifics on what was going on and she said she just had some coworkers who were difficult to work with and seemed to be coming after her intentionally.

I prayed and asked God to protect her from the accuser who wants nothing but to see her fail. I asked for her to be provided for in front of her enemies so that everyone can see that she is the daughter of the highest King and no weapon formed against her shall prosper.

Anna is going to school for her Master's Degree and classes start back soon so we prayed for endurance and a clear mind as well as focus and a renewed sense of purpose.

I honestly wish I could hear from these women again to see how it all turns out. It was a powerful moment with the Lord over something that some might say was small potatoes but, to these women the issues are huge and something that makes them worry regularly. What a relief to know that God has their back.
