July 6 - Barbara

Writer's picture: Summer SlovakSummer Slovak

Day One Hundred & Eighty Six.

Barbara was sitting in her car while her husband pumped gas near me. I asked if I could pray and she said she would love if I could just pray for her to have a closer relationship with the Lord. She had a lot of stuff she wanted prayer for but the biggest thing weighing on her heart was growing closer to God. We talked for a minute about what that meant to her. I wanted to know what that looked like. More prayer? More bible time? Consulting him before she makes big decisions?

We prayed over her home and her family, for God to draw near to her heart and to remind her each morning that he sings over her while she sleeps. To call her up into the destiny that he has for her as a daughter of the living God. I spoke against the enemy and asked God to give her eyes to see Satan's schemes in her life and to discern between what is God and what is not.

After praying we talked a bit more about discipleship and finding people in her life who are currently walking with the Lord in order to surround herself with people that she would like to be like. It was a really great talk.
