March 10 - D & Bryan

Writer's picture: Summer SlovakSummer Slovak

Day sixty-nine.

Long day. I got shot down a lot today. Two people said no when I asked if could pray. Both of them had obvious physical ailments so I was super bummed about that.

I ended up going to Dollar Tree to get sunglasses and flip flops for my kids. On my way to the cash register I ran into a mom and her son so I asked them if I could pray. Mom (D) agreed and I asked if her little boy (Bryan) would like to pray too. I asked if she had any pain in her body and she did not. So I prayed over everything I would want someone to pray for me. I asked that God would guard her heart and her mind from anger or frustration. I asked for an extra helping of mercy and I asked for her son, Bryan to grow to be a mighty warrior for God.

It ended up being a very sweet moment for all of us. I didn't realize it at first but after we prayed her talked with me a little bit and realized that Bryan had special needs. He was super sweet and hugged me and thanked me for praying. So what started as a long day of rejections, ended in such a sweet moment with a mommy and her sweet boy.
