March 16 - Renee

Writer's picture: Summer SlovakSummer Slovak

Day seventy-six.

Renee was my server at a restaurant in Fellsmere, FL for dinner. She was very sweet but I could tell while she was serving that her hands were shaking. I recognized that she was probably recently sober. After we finished our meal I asked her if I could pray. She said she had recently gotten sober and her license had been taken away. She had a daughter who needed to get to school each day and she really needed to get her license back.

I prayed over her daughter and her sobriety. I asked God to draw near to her heart and get her through every moment that she is walking with integrity. I asked Him to call her daughter out loud so that she could hear Him speak her name. I told every spirit of addiction and compulsion to leave her alone in Jesus name.

When we finished praying she looked and felt so different. I could visibly see the burdens lifted from her shoulders.
