March 19 - Nona

Writer's picture: Summer SlovakSummer Slovak

Day seventy-nine.

I saw Nona in the salad dressing aisle at Kroger today and while I was there grabbing my own dressing, I asked if I could pray. I asked what she needed prayer for and she said "My children, my grandchildren, my job, and my health." Which is probably the best answer I've gotten so far this year. I was so excited to have someone give me so many things to pray over!! I asked for specifics on the health issues but she didn't give any.

I asked God to reconcile relationships between her family. To bring peace between them and to bring forgiveness over any past hurts. I asked Him to break any assignment that the Enemy had against them and to stand angels to guard them while they heal. I asked Him to go before her and behind her at work, to pour out favor over her boss, and to raise her to a place of recognition so that she can give Him the glory. I prayed over her body, to relieve pain, and to bring healing & spoke against the spirit of infirmity and anything trying to steal, kill, or destroy the good work that God is trying to do in her.

We hugged for a while afterward and it really blessed me that she was so sweet and open about her needs. I'm praying that God honors her willingness to be vulnerable with Him and answers her prayers.
