March 20 - Angela

Writer's picture: Summer SlovakSummer Slovak

Day Eighty.

I went into my CPA's office today to finish up my taxes. I was the third person in line so I sat while I waited. A woman named Angela from the back of the office came into the waiting room and offered to help me. I followed her to her desk and she collected everything I needed. After we finished up, I asked her if I could pray.

First, let me say, I've had my taxes done in this office for the past four years and it's very abnormal for the office to be this busy. I've always gone through the front desk secretary. I'm not even sure I've ever met anyone else in this entire office besides the secretary and the CPA. So the fact that I got to speak with Angela at all was providence.

Today is the anniversary of her father's death. As soon as I asked to pray she became emotional. She asked me to pray for her heart and explained that she missed her dad. But seriously... TODAY. Is the ANNIVERSARY. Of her father's death. She's not even the secretary. She came and got me from the waiting room and was helping me and it wasn't her job to do so. You hear me?!?!

So we prayed. I told her how special she was to God. How he sent me to her on purpose because He treasures her and loves her. He wants so deeply to know her and complete the missing piece that her father left when he died.

And that... is why God asked me to pray for one stranger every day. So He could tell them how much He loves them. So that He could tell me how much He loves me. And so that He could tell you how much He loves you. So much.
