March 7 - Brandy & Amanda

Day sixty-six.

On February 22nd I prayed for a woman in the car line at my kid's school. Today she knocked on my window and thanked me for praying for her because she got the job that she interviewed for that day. She felt that my prayer really made a difference for her that day. SO EXCITING!!

Today I prayed for a woman in the frozen isle at Kroger. Y'all know Kroger is my home away from home. She was walking with her baby down the aisle and I was on the phone with my sister-in-law. I quickly got off the phone because I knew I had to pray for her. I approached her and told her my story. She asked about why I was praying for people and how exactly God asked me to set this goal.

In case you haven't read day one...

Last year in early December, as I was reading the bible I came across James 1:22 and God stopped me. He had me keep that verse close to my mind for several days. It says "Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says." I can't tell you how long I've been convicted about attending church or sitting through worship and just soaking in the Holy Spirit. Maybe years. Maybe decades. I recently finished a class at church that left me with no excuses. The School of Kingdom Ministry class taught me how to pray for people and showed how I could bring the Holy Spirit to the world around me. It changed my life. It changed my walk with God. It changed how I saw strangers. I can't let people keep walking past me when I know I have this amazing answer to their pain.

So I promised God I would pray for one person every day. I'd just ask them what they needed and I would pray for that. And seriously, God has done some amazing things so far.

So Brandy told me that she and her husband are ready to move forward in their life. Have another baby, buy a house, but they aren't sure if it's God's timing or what the right move is. Man... Can you even imagine being the kind of person that waited to make a major life decision until it was the right time?? Me either.

So I prayed for the Holy Spirit to come and give her everything she asked for. I asked him to reward her faithfulness by making all of her dreams come true. He just wants the very best for her. He wants to give her WAY more than she could ever ask or imagine. So whatever that looks like Jesus, fill her cup to overflowing. Give her strength to walk with integrity and continue to faithfully follow You no matter what the Enemy throws at her.

When we finished praying we looked up and saw that all of the people on the frozen aisle had stopped and prayed with us. Everyone had their heads bowed. One couple even said "We were just praying with you."

Y'all watch out for the frozen aisle, it's on fire.
