May 19 - Claire

Day One Hundred & Thirty Eight.

Claire and I met while I was grabbing some sweet potatoes for dinner. She asked me to pray for her daughter and her four grandchildren. I had my three children with me and she said "I think you already know what she's going through." Fair enough, Claire. This mom life ain't for the weak. I didn't ask her daughter's name but I prayed for the legacy that the Lord has blessed Claire with and for the ability to support her daughter through the difficult season of raising young children. I asked God to give her a servant's heart and to remind her of the wisdom that she learned when she was walking through this season herself.

When we finished praying I saw a friend from church around the corner. She approached me and said that she walked up behind me while I was praying and there were several people just standing there watching while I prayed. They were all praying with me and waiting patiently in awe. I can't even tell you how much this strengthened my faith. "Since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses... "
